Meet Shyla

Shyla was rescued from the local animal shelter when she was about three or four years old. She was a semi-feral cat and the staff did not believe that she would be adopted. Knowing that we do rescue, the staff called and told me that they had a semi-feral that was going to be euthanized that day if I or another rescuer could not take her in. In order to prevent her being euthanized, she became one of our household rescues.

Over time, Shyla has become very friendly and comfortable with the family but never tamed up enough to be a candidate for adoption. Shyla is a senior cat with a number of health issues. She is on a daily dose of Prednisilone to combat some of the age-related inflammatory maladies that she is experiencing.
